Postponed, new date will be announced soon 7pm

Author of Nikolai the Perfect

Join us for a talk with Melbourne writer Jim McIntyre.  His debut novel, Nikolai the Perfect, was runner-up in the 2015 Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for Unpublished Manuscript.  It was a further 5 years after this prestigious award that he found a publisher.

Set in Moscow, Melbourne, and Mt Evelyn, his complex novel explores the fractured relationship between father and son, man and wife, devastating loss, upheaval, secrets and forbearance set within a Russian backdrop.  His distinctive writing style is arresting and has been endorsed by award-winning author Bram Presser, who describes it as ‘striking in its lyrical beauty…a truly marvellous novel’.
