About Us

Mt Evelyn Community House engages people to connect, learn, be inspired and contribute in our local community. We offer innovative programs for all ages based on community needs including social, educational and well-being activities.

We are a not for profit organisation managed by a volunteer committee of management, funded by the Victorian State Government and Yarra Ranges Council.

Every year we host the Community Bush Dance, Community Meal and Campfire Night, which are wonderful opportunities to meet people and have fun.

Based in the main street of the Mt Evelyn township, we manage both the Community House and Reading Room (former Library) from this vibrant space. We also utilise the surrounding buildings to run programs, workshops, events and for community hire.

The Reading Room (former library) is open weekdays and has an extensive catalogue of items, including books, DVDs, CDs and magazines.  There are also PCs which you are able to use for free if you have a library card.
